Mr. Paisie is responsible for managing the research and consulting business worldwide. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, Paisie was a partner with PFC Energy, a strategic consultancy based in Washington, D.C., where he led a global practice focused on helping clients (including IOCs, NOC, independent oil companies and governments) to understand the future market environment and competitive landscape, set an appropriate strategic direction and implement strategic initiatives. He worked more than eight years with IBM Consulting (formerly PriceWaterhouseCoopers, PwC Consulting) as an associate partner in the strategic change practice focused on the energy sector while residing in Houston, Singapore, Beijing and London. He was also a leader in the mergers and acquisition practice, and participated in several transactions. As an expatriate, he lived in Southeast Asia, China, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. He started his career as an engineer with Sun Oil and worked as a project manager for Saudi Aramco before moving into strategy consulting. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Toledo and his MBA from Purdue University.

Mr. Lee is responsible for analyzing the energy data value chain (oil, natural gas, NGLs, biofuels, refined products and petrochemicals) to develop forecasts and quantitative/analytic models in the Stratas Advisors’ analytics group. He is developing and enhancing forecasting models for global and regional energy demand, supply and prices using an econometrics approach. He is also performing various sensitivity and scenario analyses and high-level analytic or pricing modeling. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, he worked for GS E&C, a global engineering firm, where he performed market research on pursuing business opportunities in the oil and gas markets by analyzing upstream, midstream and downstream value chains, along with dynamic energy market outlooks. He was responsible for analyzing and reporting energy market fundamentals for global oil and gas markets to support the company’s strategic decision-making process. He earned a bachelor degree from SungKyunKwan University in South Korea and a masters and doctorate from Texas A&M University.

Mrs. Petersen is the lead oil market analyst responsible for evaluating analytical model outputs against real-world situations, in collaboration with data scientists and in-house subject matter experts, to develop recommendations for client projects and insights for subscription-based publications. Before joining Stratas Advisors, Ashley was a senior analyst at Morgan Stanley and IHS Energy specializing in crude price forecasting and Atlantic Basin fundamentals. Ashley is based in New York and has an MA in Energy and a BA in Management Consulting with a focus on Energy from Tulane University.

He is also involved in broader short-term and long-term forecasting efforts. Stephen received a bachelor of science in finance (minor in economics) from The Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Lin joined Stratas Advisors as a Data Scientist in North America Shale. In this role, Haofeng will be responsible for investigating, proposing, and designing analytic solutions. Prior to Stratas, Haofeng was a Senior Research Analyst with IHS Markit, where he monitored and analyzed the oilfield service sector including oilfield water management, hydraulic fracturing, and related equipment and technology. Prior to IHS Markit, Haofeng was a field engineer with Schlumberger in Asia where he led engineering teams delivering measurement while drilling and analyzing well logging data. Haofeng holds a B.Eng in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China and an Msc in Operations Research from Columbia University in New York.

Mr. Shumway fills a critical role on the Stratas Upstream team where he will apply his geological, petrophysical and mapping capabilities as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Jesse’s experience in onshore unconventional and offshore conventional reservoirs will be useful in his role. Prior to Stratas, Jesse worked with an integrated team of engineers, geologists and data scientists at QRI, developing strategies to increase reservoir productivity and longevity. His work focused on reservoir characterization and identifying new production opportunities. Previously, Jesse was an intern at Anadarko with the Eagle Ford team where he correlated production to petrophysical and core properties. Jesse received his Masters and Bachelors of Science in Geology from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. His research focused on sedimentology and stratigraphy, especially depositional systems.

Prior to joining Stratas Advisors he spent time in an analytical position with Zeus Intelligence, a Houston-based natural gas research firm. Mr. Popps also has experience on Capitol Hill, having worked in one of the premier boutique government relations and lobbying firms in Washington, D.C., where he covered energy and natural resources as a subject matter policy analyst. Mr. Banda contributes strongly to the North American suite of integrated energy and infrastructure services. He is lead analyst on the North American Oil Service which analyzes critical crude oil projects and infrastructure capacities, supply sources, demand outlooks and export opportunities. Ms. Tan is a key member of the Midstream group as the primary analyst on the Global LNG team and a contributor to the greater natural gas team. She brings to Stratas Advisors a wealth of knowledge in global shipping and financial markets, which will be integral in moving the LNG team forward. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, Esther was a Business Development Manager with an oil measurement consultancy, where her portfolio of clients spanned across Asia. She also spearheaded all of the marketing activities and developed strategies, taking the company out of its infancy stage. The transition into the oil and gas industry was made when she took up a position as a marine fuel and gasoil trader. Her career started in a leading Asian financial consultancy, as a senior analyst managing both the transaction banking and risk management working groups. She was responsible for all the content covered in reports and conferences for the heads of departments across the region. Esther earned her bachelor’s with honours, from the University of London, majoring in banking and finance.

Mr. Singh oversees the Downstream practice, including the Global Refining & Products, North American Refining & Products, and Global Syngas Services. Mr. Singh has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, including experience in the refining, petrochemicals and syngas downstream segments. He has experience modeling refining and petrochemical assets and assessing the impact of capital investments, changing feedstock and the integration of assets. The services that Mr. Singh oversees provides an integrated assessment of changing crude slates, forecasted fuel demand, projected refinery investments, and the impact on refinery economics, relative competitive position of individual refineries, and the fuel market, including global trade flows segmented by quality attributes (including octane and sulfur). Mr. Singh led the IMO study on marine bunker fuel supply, which included modeling of the refining sector from a global, regional and country-level – as well as individual refineries. He has also presented on refining industry opportunities and challenges, including the impact of Tier 3 regulations on FCC gasoline hydrotreating capacity requirements, and regional refinery fuel availability by fuel quality. Ms. Huiming Li, based in Singapore, directs research and consulting for the Global Fuel Specifications (formerly the International Fuel Quality Center). Li has more than 10 years of experience in the fuels and transport sector. She leads GFS’s mission to improve communications among the refining, automobile and governmental sectors and enhance understanding of fuel-quality issues, and advises GFS clients, companies, governments and non-governmental organizations on fuel quality and policy issues. She also runs the day-to-day operations in the Singapore office. Prior to leading the GFS service, she directed research and consulting on the Asia-Pacific region for its fuels and transport services. Ms. Li was a key author of the annual Global Biofuels Outlook, and has made numerous presentations on global and Asian fuel quality and biofuels developments at regional conferences and strategic meetings with clients. Ms. Li, a native of Singapore, earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in chemical engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Lundin is responsible for managing the services pertaining to biofuels and alternative fuels. He has also spoken at a number of regional conferences including the International Symposium on Fuels and Lubricants 2018 in Delhi, India. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, he worked as a Wealth Manager with Maybank Singapore. He earned his bachelor degree with honors in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a specialization in Refinery Processes and Green Processing from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University.

Previously, Austin worked in various finance roles at J.P. Morgan, GE Capital, and IBM.
