Mr. Paisie is responsible for managing the research and consulting business worldwide. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, Paisie was a partner with PFC Energy, a strategic consultancy based in Washington, D.C., where he led a global practice focused on helping clients (including IOCs, NOC, independent oil companies and governments) to understand the future market environment and competitive landscape, set an appropriate strategic direction and implement strategic initiatives. He worked more than eight years with IBM Consulting (formerly PriceWaterhouseCoopers, PwC Consulting) as an associate partner in the strategic change practice focused on the energy sector while residing in Houston, Singapore, Beijing and London. He was also a leader in the mergers and acquisition practice, and participated in several transactions. As an expatriate, he lived in Southeast Asia, China, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. He started his career as an engineer with Sun Oil and worked as a project manager for Saudi Aramco before moving into strategy consulting. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Toledo and his MBA from Purdue University.

Mr. Brito has over 24 years of experience on refining economics and market strategies for the oil industry. He is responsible for managing the refining and crude-related services, as well as completing consulting. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, Jaime was a VP at Argus Media -a Price Reporting Agency- where he helped entities to improve their pricing practices and enhance their market intelligence processes. Prior to that he was Consulting Director at PFC Energy, a strategic consultancy based in Washington, D.C., where played a key role on PFC's global practice, both on Consulting and Subscription services, helping clients improve their crude and refined products strategies, due diligence for new refineries, asset acquisitions, divestments, setting up trading offices, among other deliveries. He has completed projects and participated as speaker in conferences in China, US, Singapore, Korea, Norway, France, Brazil, Colombia, Perú, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Argentina, Bolivia, India, Costa Rica, among others. Jaime started his career in PMI Comercio Internacional (PEMEX's trading subsidiary) as oil market analyst, and after that he was completing consulting in Linear Programming for the refining industry at Aspentech, in Houston. Thanks to his extensive contact with energy industry participants and a deep technical and commercial experience, Jaime adds a unique point of view to deliveries and projects, leading insightful conclusions and strategies based on innovation and a comprehensive understanding of market conditions. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UNAM and his MBA from UDLA, in Mexico.

Dr. Lee is responsible for analyzing the energy data value chain (oil, natural gas, NGLs, biofuels, refined products and petrochemicals) to develop forecasts and quantitative/analytic models in the Stratas Advisors’ analytics group. He is developing and enhancing forecasting models for global and regional energy demand, supply and prices using an econometrics approach. He is also performing various sensitivity and scenario analyses and high-level analytic or pricing modeling. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, he worked for GS E&C, a global engineering firm, where he performed market research on pursuing business opportunities in the oil and gas markets by analyzing upstream, midstream and downstream value chains, along with dynamic energy market outlooks. He was responsible for analyzing and reporting energy market fundamentals for global oil and gas markets to support the company’s strategic decision-making process. He earned a bachelor degree from SungKyunKwan University in South Korea and a masters and doctorate from Texas A&M University.

Mr. Lin joined Stratas Advisors as a Data Scientist in North America Shale. In this role, Haofeng will be responsible for investigating, proposing, and designing analytic solutions. Haofeng is also responsible for identifying opportunities for enhancing analytical processes and improving overall quality. Prior to Stratas, Haofeng was a Senior Research Analyst with IHS Markit, where he monitored and analyzed the oilfield service sector including oilfield water management, hydraulic fracturing, and related equipment and technology. Prior to IHS Markit, Haofeng was a field engineer with Schlumberger in Asia where he led engineering teams delivering measurement while drilling and analyzing well logging data. Haofeng holds a B.Eng in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China and an Msc in Operations Research from Columbia University in New York.

Mr. Sun has over 4 years’ experience in oil and gas research and consulting. At Stratas Advisors, Jiangtao's responsibilities include conducting market research, maintaining and enhancing company international upstream database, forecasting country level hydrocarbon supply, and providing in-depth business insights to our upstream clients. Jiangtao specializes in incorporating his geology background with upstream operation assessments and analytics. Mr. Sun holds a B.S. in Geology from China University of petroleum, and a M.S. in Geoscience from Rice University.

Mr. San has more than 7 years of experience in downstream refining and petrochemical consulting practice. San’s downstream industry research and consulting practice is centred on Asia Pacific region. San started his career as a Senior Analyst with FACTS Global Energy (FGE) in 2006 and spent more than three years between 2011 and 2014 working with oil and chemical shipping consulting companies including Drewry Maritime Services (Asia) Pte., Ltd. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, he was an oil market consultant with KBC Advanced Technologies Pte., Ltd from 2015 to 2017. Before joining FGE, San has worked with ASEAN Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and market research companies. San received his first degree from Yangon University majoring in International Relations and Master in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Banerjee has more than 8 years of experience in the downstream sector. Mr. Banerjee has consultancy experience with Americas and Asia refining & chemicals markets with a specific focus on fundamental analysis, including a deep knowledge in data management, analytics, and forecasting of refined and petrochemical products. Before joining Stratas Advisors, Mr. Banerjee was a Senior Associate, at Sapient Consulting, and Research Analyst at Wood Mackenzie, where he developed data analytics and visualization capability on refinery supply chain, including refinery wharf analytics and supply demand balances. Mr. Banerjee started his career in 2007 as a Process Engineering Intern at Reliance Industries Limited in Jamnagar, India and then worked with Larsen and Toubro (Mumbai) in India. Mr. Banerjee received a MS in Environmental Science from Rice University and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering at the Institute of Chemical Technology (Mumbai) from India.

Ms. Huiming Li, based in Singapore, directs research and consulting for the Global Fuel Specifications (formerly the International Fuel Quality Center). Li has more than 15 years of experience in the fuels and transport sector. She leads GFS’s mission to improve communications among the refining, automobile and governmental sectors and enhance understanding of fuel-quality issues, and advises GFS clients, companies, governments and non-governmental organizations on fuel quality and policy issues. She also runs the day-to-day operations in the Singapore office. Prior to leading the GFS service, she directed research and consulting on the Asia-Pacific region for its fuels and transport services. Ms. Li was a key author of the annual Global Biofuels Outlook, and has made numerous presentations on global and Asian fuel quality and biofuels developments at regional conferences and strategic meetings with clients. Ms. Li, a native of Singapore, earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in chemical engineering from the National University of Singapore. She is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Mr. Lundin is responsible for energy demand forecasting for Stratas Advisors, with a focus on refined products and biofuels. He has 12 years of experience in developing forecast models and analyzing downstream energy markets and vehicle fleet dynamics. His demand forecasting analysis has included assessments of over 100 countries at the sector and fuel level, under multiple scenarios examining sensitivity to changes in a wide range of driver variables including price assumptions. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors he was a senior consultant at IHS, where he was responsible for assessing and modeling global refined product demand, including the linkages between gasoline and diesel demand with vehicle fleets and the biofuel markets.

Mr. Brown is a research analyst in the Global Automotive Service focusing on global vehicle forecasting, vehicle policy, and macro-economic analysis. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, he was a Senior Consultant at Capgemini where his roles included financial analysis and forecasting, project management, and organizational transformation in the heavy industrial and automotive component manufacturing industries. Mr. Brown graduated from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in business. Following two years as an investment analyst in high net worth finance, he went on to earn his master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Houston.

Mr. van der Wal is responsible for management of the Stratas Advisors biofuels practice, including the Global Biofuels Assessment and Global Biofuels Outlook services. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, he worked in various research institutions before joining the data analysis team at the European Commission – DG Energy. Marijn has earned two master’s degrees relating to energy policy, one at King’s College London and another at Sciences Po, France. Furthermore, he earned a bachelor’s degree in European Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Marijn is a native Dutch speaker and is fluent in English, French, German and Russian.

Based in Singapore, Mr. Aw monitors and provides timely updates on developments of Asia Pacific’s fuel quality and vehicle emission regulations. Since joining Stratas Advisors in 2014, he has contributed to several consulting projects, including the “International fuel quality standards and their implications for Australian standards” paper for the Department of the Environment and Energy in 2014. He has also spoken at a number of regional conferences including the International Symposium on Fuels and Lubricants 2018 in Delhi, India. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, he worked as a Wealth Manager with Maybank Singapore. He earned his bachelor degree with honors in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a specialization in Refinery Processes and Green Processing from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University. He is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Based in Houston, Mr. Erazo covers North America and Latin America’s fuel quality specifications and regulations for the Global Fuel Specifications service. As an analyst, his work involves meeting the needs of Stratas Advisors clientele with knowledge of fuel specifications and policy within the two regions. Mr. Erazo comes with over 11 years’ experience in the environmental laboratory and analysis field; five of those years working with petroleum hydrocarbon analysis. Before joining Stratas Advisors, he worked as a senior analyst with Environmental Chemistry Incorporated. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a MBA from the University of Phoenix-Houston. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Based in the Brussels office of Stratas Advisors, Mr. Abdoun is the Analyst Africa & Middle-East for Stratas Advisors in the Global Fuel Specifications and Short Term Outlook departments . His primary responsibility is to monitor and report updates on fuel quality specifications and vehicle emission policy developments in Africa and Middle East for the Global Fuel Specifications service. His secondary responsibility is to analyse and monitor geopolitical risks, public policy and market developments related to the energy sector. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, Anas worked as Political Analyst and followed the geopolitical risks in the Middle-East for COJEP International, a Turkish Organization. Mr. Abdoun, a native of France, holds a BA in Political Science and a certificate in Arab studies at the University of Montreal in Canada. He then returned to Europe to complete a Master’s degree in International Relations in Brussels at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. He speaks fluent Arabic, French and English.

Based in Brussels, Ms. Gmucova is responsible for monitoring and analyzing all public policy and market developments related to fuel specifications and vehicle emissions in the European and CIS regions. Prior to joining Stratas Advisors, she gained her experience at the European Parliament, working at the office of a Slovak Member of the European Parliament on various energy topics, at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development/Nuclear Energy Agency addressing the questions of nuclear liability as well as at the International Atomic Energy Agency dealing with nuclear safety culture and operational safety management. She earned both her Bachelor and Master degree in international relations and diplomacy at the University of Economics in Prague, Czech Republic. She speaks English, Slovak, Czech, Russian and French.

He also has experience in the European Commission’s DG Trade, Brussels-based think tanks and international business media. Ms. Peninger fills a critical role on the Stratas Fuels & Transportation team based out of Stratas Advisors Houston office. She analyzes key trends in global vehicle fleets as well as the automotive industry, track powertrain developments and help to decipher energy demand from the transportation sector. Kara received her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology with a focus in Supply Chain Engineering. Most recently, Kara was a Lean Tech at GE Industrial Solutions, Auburn, ME, where she was responsible for the local implementation of a business-wide level loading production system.
